I first began teaching Hatha Yoga in 2024, eager to share the beauty of this technique with others. Based in the Milton Keynes, my intention as a professional Hatha Yoga Teacher is to help my clients listen to their inner selves and find the courage to step out of their comfort zone. Joining yoga was a very good decision I have made. I am suffering with a chronic illness and it is hard to get strength to do exercises and it is difficult to relax and be calm. The classes helped me to relax and get more strength by stretching. The classes were running very well and in a lovely calming atmosphere. The yoga teacher was very clear with giving instructions and made the classes very relaxing. Would recommend to everyone especially to someone with chronic illness.

HATHA YOGA

Introduction

Hatha Yoga is a traditional form of yoga that focuses on physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), and meditation. The word “Hatha” itself signifies the union of opposites—“ha” (sun) and “tha” (moon). Hatha Yoga seeks to balance the dualities within us, such as strength and surrender, effort and ease.

Through a series of asanas, practitioners work on their bodies, aiming to create balance between strength and suppleness. Conscious breathing helps calm the mind, energise the body, and enhance the flow of vital energy. Hatha Yoga encourages practitioners to be present in each moment. By focusing on the breath and sensations during asanas, one cultivates mindfulness and self-awareness. Beyond physical fitness, Hatha Yoga promotes overall well-being—mental, emotional, and spiritual.
